Deep dive
Update your number, email or address in your own profile, and every connection who can see it has the new value — no group messages, no outdated contact lists.
Sofia just got a new phone number.
Normally: a flood of “what’s your new number?” messages — and someone always misses it.
With allme she changes it once.
Everyone who should have it, has it. Nobody asks.
Change your number, email or address once in allme. You don't have to remember who to tell, and nobody has to wait for your message.
Your connections have your current details, next month or in five years — an old number never stands between you.
Groups, per-person choices and the bunches you share with decide which of your fields each connection sees. A change only reaches the people who can see that field.
Add your phone numbers, email addresses, address and anything else you want to share — all in one profile.
Everyone has their own share code. Send it as a link, show the QR code or read it out — once a connection request is accepted, you're connected.
Put connections in groups such as Friends, Family and Work, and pick the fields each group can see. You can also share an extra field with just one person.
Edit a value in your profile and every connection that can see it gets the new value, in their own app.
Your app encrypts text values like a number or an address on your phone, with a separate copy for every connection that can see them — only that person's app can open it. The copies arrive within seconds when their phone is online, and the next time their app connects when it is not. Your own other devices update as well.
Read the privacy deep-dive →Only if they want one. Notifications about changed contact details are off by default, so their app updates quietly. Anyone can switch these notifications on in their app's settings.
If they choose to. In the Android and iPhone apps, a connection can link you to a contact in their phone's own address book. Once they have, your new details are written into that contact as well. Without that link, the new value is in their allme app.
Nothing gets lost. Their app picks up the change the next time it connects.
No. A change only reaches the connections that can see that field — someone who can't see your address isn't told that you moved.
The fields that group shared stop reaching them, unless you still share them another way — through another group, directly with that person, or with a bunch you're both in. Their app removes those fields and later changes no longer reach them. Anything they already copied into their phone's own address book stays there.
