A guardian's OK for every new connection.

Your child picks you as their guardian. From then on, every new connection — and every change to what they share — waits for your approval. Family gets in; strangers stay out.

Kids share too easily.

New connections need a guardian's OK.

Safe, without taking the fun away.

Why you'll want it

You approve, they connect

Connection requests your child sends or receives wait for a guardian. You see who it's with, and you decide.

Changes wait for you

Changes to what your child shares, to their details and to their name wait for a guardian's approval too.

No back doors

Anonymous chat codes and bunches aren't available on a child's account, and a child can't share details with a website through Sign in with allme.

How it works

Liam's allme settings with the Enable Parental Controls form, Sofia's share code filled in as his first custodian

01Your child picks you

In Settings → Parental controls, your child enters your share code — up to two guardians. It's active as soon as one of you accepts.

02Requests wait for you

A request to your child shows “Awaiting custodian review”. They can't accept or decline it themselves.

03Decide in one tap

You'll find it under Requests → Wards. Accept or decline, and choose what your child shares with the new connection.

What stays open

Parental controls check who your child connects with and what they share — not what they say. Messages with approved connections work as usual, and guardians don't read them. Your child can still hear from companies whose services they're connected to, and can mute, report or block them. A guardian can switch parental controls off at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Who can be a guardian?

Anyone on allme your child adds with their share code — up to two people. A guardian can't be under parental controls themselves, and a guardian and child need to be in the same data region.

What can my child still do on their own?

Chat with their approved connections, organise their groups, and message companies whose services they already use. What needs your OK is who they connect with and what they share.

Can I remove one of my child's connections?

Yes. As a guardian you can remove a connection of your child's from the Wards tab in the allme app on Android and iPhone.

How do I switch parental controls off?

A guardian can switch them off at any time. While the setup is still waiting for a guardian to accept, your child can cancel it themselves.

Can my child connect to a company?

Yes, with your approval: connecting to a company's service waits for a guardian like any other connection, and so does signing a contract.
